China （Shenzhen） International Cultural Industries Fair （ICIF）, an annual grand event, has been successfully held for four consecutive years since its inauguration in Shenzhen in 2004. ICIF is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the State Administration of Film, Radio and Television, the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （CCPIT）, Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. It is the only national-level, international and comprehensive cultural industries fair in China. The 5th ICIF will be held at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center from May 15-18, 2009.  Hall 2, with an area of 15,000 square meters, will be a specific Art Hall sponsored by China Artists Association and Shenzhen Press Group.

The Art Hall of the 5th ICIF will display collections of excellent works by the Chinese and foreign artists.  People can find the art works by the eminent artists from such art institutions as some provincial and municipal artist associations and painting academies in China. Among them, the Exhibition Area of the Art Committee of the Art Hall will assemble the calligraphy works and paintings of the Chinese contemporary masters; various theme exhibition areas of the Art Hall will exhibit the fine works of the young and middle-aged artists from Shaanxi province that represent the Chang’an painting style, the works created by the emerging artists that represent the Lingnan painting style, the outstanding works presented by artists from Jiangxi province represented by Cai Chao, and the works from Artists Association of Anhui Province, Artists Association of Hubei Province, Artists Association of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Beijing Association of Painters of Heavy Color Meticulous Brushwork Painting and the outstanding artists from Hunan Province. The Art Hall will also exhibit the premium works created by representatives of painters of traditional Chinese realistic paintings such as Wang Tiansheng, Wang Meifang, Zhao Guojing, Su Baijun and Sun Zhijun, and the excellent works painted by Professor Jiang Caiping, the representative of Chinese heavy-color meticulous brushwork paintings and some of his students. The hosts of ICIF have also invited the works representing famous artists of the Repin State Academic Institute of Painting Sculpture and Architecture of Russia and young and middle-aged artists educated in Russia.

The Art Hall of ICIF provides a platform for artists to exhibit and promote their works and strengthen the art exchange, and highly reflects their professionalism and academic nature.
