Trilogy of photography

As one of the most renowned photographers in China, Lü Nan has earned his reputation for his mastery of professional techniques and the ability to capture people’s daily life however small or insignificant it may be. With a special interest in recording the status quo of certain group of people, Lü spent most of his career telling true stories through images and photos.
During 15 years from 1989 to 2004, he concluded three masterpieces – People Being Forgotten: Psychotic Patients in China, On the Road: Catholicism of China, and Around the Season: Daily Life of Tibetan Farmers. Each image in these works provides a lens through which the public can not only find out the lifestyle of those people but also sense the intense enthusiasm Lü has for photographing.
